Hi all! It's been a while, again! Apologies for the huge amount of time I've wasted between news and all, but I really got something that I must tell you.
So around, February-ish, I was picked up to create a game with a team of people, what I was told to my knowledge it was supposed to be another retro arcade styled game similar to Inn & Out, with all the bells and whistles. But instead of a puzzle platformer, it's a shmup platformer hybrid. Inspired by Son-Son and Psycho Soldier.
Unfortunately, I cut ties with the team 2 days ago, due to questionable work ethics and design choices that doesn't work right with how the game and scope is set up... and I quit with an angered face. I don't mean no ill will to the team and I wished them the best of luck, it makes me glad they can just do whatever they want and make the game they wanted.
That leaves me with the good news! My code isn't legally bound to that project, and they replaced me with another programmer and engine, I took the code with me and plan to salvage the meat of it, and give it a whole new look to it! And I even have the opportunity to do what I envision a "Son-Son-Like" would be like!
I don't have a final name for it, obviously, and It's not a successor to Inn & Out, that's a whole other project under wraps. Instead, it's a whole new IP.
The game is now called "Project Comet", until i get a better name of course, and it should probably be much different than the other game they're going to make. It's even 32-bit styled! 4x the bits than Inn & Out!
I do have concept art of the main character! Currently unnamed at the moment, but I'm thinking Cora until I find a better name for her. She's a comet, of course, and a bounty hunter, very classy.
Design is not final.
And that's not all, I have some prototype footage of the game itself, dated back in February. Just click the youtube link and you can watch it from there.
And I believe that's just about everything! I can't wait to see what I can do with the salvaged code, and I can't wait to see their game as well! I'll see you all next time, peace out!

Oooh, I love Son-Son, so I look forward to seeing how this project turns out!
